What is the difference between an Air Jordan 1 Mid and High?

Nike's first Jordan sneaker was an Air Jordan 1 High model, but many people find it difficult to distinguish between it and the Air Jordan 1 Mid. If you own an old pair of these, you're lucky, as the original Air Jordan 1 High models are generally more valuable than the Air Jordan 1 Mid.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid has eight eyelets, while the High model has nine on each side.

The final recognizable difference between the two models is on the tongue (the "flap" behind the laces). On an Air Jordan 1 Mid, the logo on the tongue features Nike's "Jumpman" logo with the word "Air" underneath. On the High model, however, the tongue is adorned with the original "Nike Air" logo.
