How do Nike sneakers fit?

Different sneaker models have different fits. Nike sneakers with mesh uppers or softer materials will generally be true to size. However, some of their models made with stiffer materials might feel half a size smaller. Additionally, mid and high-top models can feel tighter than lows, especially around the ankle. The models, however, are the same size in length as the Jordan 1 Low, so if you're about to order a pair of Jordan 1 Mid or Jordan 1 High, you should order the size you normally wear in Nike sneakers.

Note that if you normally wear size 41 ⅓ in Adidas, the same number of centimeters will correspond to a 40.5 in Nike sneakers. Also, it's important to note that some of Nike's sizes skip half a size. For example, Nike's sizes go from 41 to 42, but despite this, each size only represents a 0.5 cm difference.

How is Nike sizes compared to other brands?

Some people find that Nike shoes run small in size, while others think the opposite. When comparing Adidas’ shoe sizes with Nike's, Adidas sizes are generally smaller when looking at their official size guides. If you normally wear size 42 in Nike, you should actually opt for size 42 ⅔ or 43 ⅓, as these would correspond to the same length measurement for a Nike sneaker. Therefore, Adidas sizes are often a little smaller, and since they don’t make half sizes (like 37.5), it’s a good idea to always check the length in centimeters of your own Nike sneakers.

You can find a complete list of the size guides for different sneaker brands at the bottom of this page. When comparing your other sneakers with the size guide, be aware that the tongue will show "JPN" rather than something that directly indicates centimeters. But it’s the JPN you should check when looking for how many centimeters your sneakers are. For example, if it says 290, your sneakers are 29 cm.

How do the Air Force 1 fit?

A sneaker that is incredibly popular for both women and men is the Nike Air Force 1, which is Nike's all-time bestseller. If you've got your eye on a pair and are unsure about which size to add to your cart, the Air Force 1 tends to run a bit large. For some, they may feel slightly wide in the fit, so it's a good idea to size down by half a size, whether it's for men or women.

Nike size guide for women

When it comes to ordering sneakers from Nike as a woman, there's one thing you should be aware of. In many of the sizes for women, the size will be labeled as, for example, 37 (GS). If that’s the case for the sneaker you're about to order, you will often need to size up by a full size. GS stands for ‘Grade School,’ and this acronym is just one of the ways Nike categorizes their shoe sizes. If you're a woman with an average shoe size, you will often buy GS, unless the shoe model has been specifically designed for women.

Nike size guide for men

When it comes to Nike shoe sizes for men, just like with women’s sneakers, the fit can vary for each model. However, you can generally expect that if you wear size 44 in most of Nike's sneakers, you should also order that size in Dunks. If you're at all unsure about which size to order, you can check our size guide. The size guide is for reference, and we always recommend reading the "size recommendation" on each product page, as, as mentioned earlier, the fit can vary depending on the model.

This is how to measure your foot

  1. Stand with both of your feet against a wall.

  2. Place an object where your longest toe ends. The easiest items to use, which most people have at home, are a book, a magazine, or something similar.

  3. Step away and measure the distance between the wall and the object you placed (book or similar).

  4. Now you have the number of centimeters your feet measure. You can use the table to see which size matches your foot measurement in cm.

  5. If your measurement is between two different sizes, always go up one size.

  6. Always remember to check the size recommendation on our products. You need to consider that for some models, you may need to go up half a size or a full size.
