Det længe ventede samarbejde mellem Off-White og Nike blev langt om længe udgivet verden over, og folk verden over strømmede til de udvalgte butikker rundt i verdens storbyer. Efterspørgslen på Virgil Ablohs Nike x Off-White “The Ten” samarbejde bød i første omgang på 10 forskellige iterationer af diverse Nike og Jordan modeller. Virgil Abloh har i denne udgivelse fået frit spil fra Nike. Han har taget den super populære Air Jordan 1 Chicago, dekonstrueret den, og bygget den op fra bunden igen. Syningerne er flyttet til ydersiden af skoen, Læderpaneler er blevet vendt, Nike swooshet hænger i en tynd tråd og fyldet i tungen er synligt. At Virgil har fået lov til at redesigne en så klassisk sneaker som Air Jordan 1 Chicago’en viser noget om den tillid Nike har vist ham. Han er den første designer der har fået lov til at flytte grænserne for hvordan Air Jordan 1-modellen kan se ud. Hans design har blandt andet senere hen åbnet op for at Travis Scott kunne flytte på swooshet på hans Air Jordan 1 Retro High Travis Scott "Cactus Jack" udgivelse i 2019.
I 2018 udgav Nike og Off-White ligeledes den famøse Air Jordan 1 model i en hvid Europe exclusive udgave - Air Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White NRG og en "UNC" udgave i form af Air Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White University Blue.
I sneakerbranchen er der ikke meget tvivl. Den rød/hvide Air Jordan 1 er uden tvivl den hellige gral fra samarbejdet og det forstår vi godt. Det afspejler både efterspørgslen, men i den grad også prisen, som fortsat stiger måned for måned.
