Sean Wotherspoons hybrid Air Max
Har du nogensinde drømt om at designe din egen Air Max sneaker for Nike? Det havde Sean Wotherspoon og for ham gik drømmen i opfyldelse. Sean Wotherspoon startede vintage/consignment kæden Round Two op i Virginia, og derfra har den spredt sig i hele USA. Sean Wotherspoon og Round Two blev specielt populære igennem deres YouTube kanal, hvor livet i deres butikker kunne følges. For mange er Sean Wotherspoon en af de personer, der virkeligt har fået sat vintage på landkortet inden for streetwear og sneakers.
Denne status gav genlyd helt op til Nike, og derefter blev Sean Wotherspoon udvalgt til at designe en unik sneaker til Nike Air Max dag i 2018. Konkurrencen bestod af 12 forskellige deltagere, og sneakerheads verden over kunne stemme på lige præcis deres favorit design. Her endte Sean Wotherspoon med at vinde med hans hybrid udgave mellem en Nike Air Max 1 og Nike Air Max 97. Det var den første sneaker, hvor lige præcis denne hybrid blev skabt.
Overdelen består af lækkert fløjl i de perfekt farvede bølger. Det ikoniske mini-swoosh på ydersiden af sneakeren var ligeledes et must for Sean. Dette er kombineret med en helt klassisk Air Max 1 sål, hvor farvekombination går igen på selve bunden. Sneakeren er indvendigt polstret med gult velour, hvilket giver et lækkert og eksklusivt udtryk. Sean Wotherspoon Nike Air Max 97/1 er en magtdemonstration i, hvordan du skaber en helt unik sneaker, fordi samtlige detaljer på sneakeren er så gennemtænkt og velovervejet. Alt fra materialer til kombinationen af de to forskellige Air Max modeller, så har Sean tænkt over hvert enkelt detalje, og gjort den til lige præcis hans egen.
